We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £65, 000 by the Gatsby Foundation which will allow us to grow our impact.
With this funding we will be able carry out our vision of connecting, celebrating and cultivating talent in the Black plant science community.
We hope to highlight the research excellence that exists within the community that is far too often overlooked and potential that is unrealised. We will do this by providing funding for Black plant scientists to engage in activities where they would normally experience barriers.
Additionally, we plan to create opportunities where scientists can come together and share their lived experiences, aim to overcome this challenge, and foster an inclusive and supportive environment so that Black researchers can reach their full potential and feel a sense of belonging.
