BiPS Conference 2025

Join us for the second Black in Plant Science (BiPS) Conference this Autumn.

Building on from last year’s conference see the full programme here we are planning what we hope to be another inspirational conference.

In addition to our online activities of sharing profiles, publications and opportunities on our website and social media, this conference aims to continue our work of highlighting the contributions of Black researchers in UK Plant Science from the recent to the more distant past.

The BiPS Conference 2025 also serves as a response to one of the many recommendations made by the members of our community that attended the 2024 conference:

“Thank you for this conference. It was a great way to meet very inspiring individuals and learn from their stories.”

“I love the energy and efforts that made this conference a success and I look forward into being here next year.”

“Loved the conference, was great to meet everyone and so many new people. Learned so much from the talks and afternoon session.”

With activities ranging from keynote talks to creative workshops, you can expect fruitful discussions and time dedicated to connection, celebration, and cultivation of the next generation.

This conference is welcome to all plant enthusiasts where there will also be sessions specially designed to provide safe spaces for Black communities to interact and build networks.
