Black in Plant Science UK Research Excellence Awards… Applications are now open!

The Black in Plant Science UK network are thrilled to announce our Research Excellence awards!

The BiPS Research Excellence Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate leading Black and Black heritage researchers across the UK plant science community.

The awards recognise the work and innovations carried out by UK early career Black researchers and raise awareness of their achievements. They also celebrate outstanding contributions to promoting the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within their research communities.

In addition to receiving an award certificate, winners are invited to attend the 34th International Conference on Arabidopsis Research (ICAR 2024) held at the University of California, San Diego in California, USA from July 15-19, 2024. My Plant Biology Story

My Plant Biology story is a new seminar series organised by the Arabidopsis community (supported by NAASC).

This new series is open to all and its mission /objective is to share out the real stories of plant biologists (focusing on speakers that are members of under-represented groups) to authentically connect with people about their real background: challenges, successes, failures, and the unique choices they’ve made in their career.

This week’s talk is by Dr. José Dinneny from Stanford University on Thursday 16th March @ 4pm GMT on Zoom. Click here to register.
